Watercolor Value

So this was our first project of the year for my painting class. Its just a watercolor and we only did it to be sure we know value and all that great stuff.

The tree I'm not super happy with, and I prefer acrylic over watercolor, but my teacher loves watercolor and she also loves trees. Like obsessively loves trees. I like trees, but I prefer pine trees. But no, my teacher likes normal trees. So when I went to turn this in she said, "Why don't you put a tree in there?"n and I was like, "Okay- how's a pine tree?" and she was like, "No. A bare tree. so you can do value." and I said to her "Okay....." but in my mind I was like, "PINE TREES SHOW VALUE TOO!!! I HATE DOING THESE KINDS OF TREES! FIRST WATERCOLOR, NOW THIS!" (insert shrug here)

Anywho, it doesnt look 'bad', but it also doesn't look good.... but thats my tree....
